Ayari Machado, Academy of Our Lady of Peace Ambassador

Ayari Machado is currently a sophomore at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP). She is passionate about STEM, especially biology, neuroscience, and psychology, and is interested in understanding how the brain and body work. This summer, she attended the Rady Children's Summer Medical Academy for two weeks, where she learned about different areas of medicine and participated in hands-on activities. This experience strengthened her interest in the medical field and encouraged her to continue exploring biology, neuroscience, and psychology. In her free time, Ayari enjoys swimming, baking pastries, spending time with friends, and being involved in her school and community. This will be her second year with AGSS, and she is excited to continue encouraging and inspiring other young girls to explore their interests in STEM.
