Participation & Registration

This free event is open to all girls in 3rd - 8th grades from public, private, or home schools on a first-come, first-served basis.
​Registration for the 2016 All-Girls Math Tournament at 
San Diego has filled up. 
The registration is closed.​

Guest Speaker

​Our guest speaker this year will be Dr. Wei Xu!

Wei Xu - Dr. Xu holds a BS in Math from Fudan University (China) and MS in Math from Zhejiang University (China) and received his PhD in Computer Graphics and Applied Mathematics from University of Texas at Austin. He teaches video game programming and fine art at several universities including Art Institute of California, UCSD Ext, and Zhejiang University (China). He is the author of books "Drawing in the Digital Age" (Wiley 2012) and《善用左脑学素描》(China, 2014). He was a former lead (software) engineer at Sony Computer Entertainment America - San Diego for video game R&D and has served as the head coach of Mesa Verde Middle School Math Club.

Event Information

  • This event will consist of an individual round, a team round, a guest speech, and an award ceremony.
  • Teams consist of 6 participants each. Participants must form teams within their grade sections: grades 3 and 4 can be in a team, grades 5 and 6 can be in a team, and grades 7 and 8 can be in a team.
All Girls STEM Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
