Our mission, at the Charlottesville chapter of All Girls STEM Society, is to uplift women in STEM and encourage students of underprivileged backgrounds to explore the STEM field. One way in which we fulfill this goal is by providing free and accessible workshops for young students in Charlottesville to use as a resource to learn more about STEM subjects. Currently, AGSS at UVA provides workshops through the Boys & Girls Club of Central Virginia (Southwood and Cherry Avenue branches) and the Gordon Avenue Library.
