Thank you for your interest in All Girls STEM Society! As a student-run organization, we heavily rely on our volunteers to help make all our workshops and events possible. Our AGSS volunteers come from over 15 high schools across San Diego and anybody in grades 9-12 is more than welcome to volunteer with us. Both boys and girls can volunteer - everyone should help in the fight against underrepresentation in STEM! You don't have to have any specialized knowledge in STEM, just bring your enthusiasm and love for learning to encourage these young girls. Volunteers generally help with behind-the-scene tasks for each event, help run activities during our workshops, and are there to help the participants if they have any questions or need any assistance with hands-on experiments. As an organization, we strive to inspire and encourage girls to pursue STEM, and to help them develop a sense of collaboration, communication and creativity.
