Hanna Liang, Senior Advisory CouncilHanna is currently a senior at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California. She first became interested in STEM when she started doing math competitions in elementary school and found out she loved the logical and problem-solving aspect of mathematics. Since then, she has participated in MOEMS, AMC, AIME, and other similar competitions. Along with math, Hanna is very passionate about biochemistry and medicine, and how understanding the body’s mechanisms can help cure disease. She spent the last summer researching pancreatic cancer at the USC Keck School of Medicine, and would love to continue doing laboratory work in college. Hanna loves sharing her knowledge and passion of STEM with others, whether it’s as an AGSS volunteer, peer tutor, or as one of the Editor-in-Chiefs of Quanta Science Magazine. She hopes to inspire younger women in STEM to do the same! In her free time, you’ll find Hanna enjoying a good book, practicing for choir, or taking extra long walks on the beach while blasting Lana Del Rey.
