Jocelyn Zhang, Del Norte High School AmbassadorJocelyn is a sophomore at Del Norte High School in San Diego, CA. Ever since she was little, she has always had a passion for STEM and has since explored different aspects of STEM. She competes in Science Olympiad, CyberPatriot, and U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad; placing at state and nationally. She is a 2021 Greater San Diego Affiliate Winner for the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing. This past summer, she attended UC San Diego's COSMOS program where she experimented with various computer-related topics and continued to explore her love for computer science. She has been student coaching Science Olympiad at her old middle school and hosting free computer science workshops with a club at her school for students all over the world. Her experience with student coaching and hosting workshops has allowed her to discover her love for helping and inspiring others, and aims to continue to do so with AGSS. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, playing piano, and travelling around the world. All in all, Jocelyn's biggest flex is definitely the fact that her thumb is shaped like a teletubbie.
