Serena Zhang, Co-Director of Communications, Co-Director of Engineering Curriculum

Serena is currently a senior at The Bishop’s School. A former participant in AGSS workshops, she now enjoys giving back by volunteering at AGSS events. She is editor-in-chief of Quanta Science Magazine and loves to write about new and exciting discoveries in the field of science. She’s participated in math competitions such as the AMC and MOEMS since elementary school, and now she also competes in Science Olympiad. Her favorite subject in STEM is engineering, as it emphasizes problem-solving and creativity; not to mention, hands-on crafting and lab work! Serena hopes to inspire girls to find real-world applications of what they learn here. In her free time, you can catch Serena playing the piano or clarinet, relaxing with a good book, or (re)watching Gilmore Girls.
