Sofia Hayden, Director of Science Curriculum 

Sofia is currently a junior at The Bishop’s School. STEM has long been a passion of hers; she has always loved exploring the outdoors and learning about how the world functions. Because of this interest, she has participated in numerous local STEM-oriented summer programs such as Sally Ride Science and Birch Aquarium, participated in math competitions such as AMC and MOEMS, and engaged in extracurriculars such as Science Olympiad and, of course, AGSS. Her other passions include music, language, and global affairs; she participates in her school choir and the SCVA Honor Choir, speaks Spanish, French, and studies Latin, and is an avid member of her school’s Model UN and Speech & Debate teams. The world is a beautiful place, which she hopes to share with younger students through AGSS.
