Sophia Guan, Vice President

Sophia (or Sopo) is a senior at The Bishop’s School who’s loved STEM for all her life. Throughout middle and high school, she’s competed in the AMC, AIME, ARML, and many other math competitions. Beyond competitive problem solving, though, she loves the way that math expresses the world through physics and engineering. In particular, she’s fascinated by all things space, and has conducted research in astrophysics for the past two summers. Sophia hopes to study physics or aerospace engineering and to bridge the gender gaps in those fields. In her free time, she loves listening to music, golfing, and sewing. Through AGSS, Sophia is so excited to share her passions with the next generation of young women in STEM!
