Sophie Zeng, Vice PresidentSophie is a senior at The Bishop’s School with an affinity for environmental engineering and computer science. She is currently a research intern with UCSD EBE and the Boz Institute, where she studies environmental metagenomics and behavioral ecology. Through her work with AGSS and her student-led environmental advocacy organization Project ARISE, Sophie is passionate about using STEM to create good, and she recently presented a paper at the 11th International Conference on Machine Vision and Machine Learning. Every year, she is surprised and inspired by the bright souls she meets at AGSS workshops, and she hopes to foster the next generation of formidable women in STEM. In her free time, Sophie is an avid filmmaker, devoted theater technician, and fervent foodie. She aspires to see the world as it is, as it was and as it can be.
