All Girls Math Tournament @ San Diego 2019 Results

San Diego's 2019 All Girls Math Tournament @ San Diego was held on April 14th, 2019.  It was great for all of us to see you guys and we hope to see all of you again next year, whether it be as returning contestants or volunteers.   We loved being able to meet our city's rising math stars!  We also hope you enjoyed coming here and doing the problems... and having a little bit competitive fun. :)  All of you girls deserve a huge CONGRATS for trying your best and tackling these difficult problems.  You were so great to work with and we couldn't have run such a smooth tournament if it hadn't been for how respectful and patient you were with us.  We thought these problems were pretty darn hard ourselves and we're amazed you guys - all of you! - did so well.  We're waiting to see your faces again, whether it be at MathCounts, Math Prize for Girls, or the AMC 10/12.  ​

Congrats to our Individual winners and honorable mentions!  You guys consistently topped the score chart in two challenging tests, the Sprint and Target rounds.

Now for our team results!  Teams of 3 or 4 girls worked on a 3-puzzle (for grades 3-6) or a 4-puzzle (for grades 7-8) challenging set for the team round.  Winning teams solved the largest quantity and the most difficult of puzzles.  

• 3rd and 4th Grades Division 1st Place Team: Maya McGreevy, Astraea Liu, and Kaia Nelley.  2nd Place Team:  Isabella Bredt, Molly Lehman, and Veronica Cid.
• 5th and 6th Grades Division 1st Place Teams (tied): Hermione Lu, Harmony Moussighi, Eleanor Meyer, and Olivia Brennan; also, Lucy Cho, Ellie Kim, Hyein Choi, and Laiba Farooqi.
• 7th and 8th Grades Division 1st Place Team: Lucia Moscola, Bhadra Rupesh, Neelu Nemati, and Josephine Fox.  2nd Place Team: Margaret Fan, Daphne Teng, Gaia Micciancio, and Arianna Roberts.
